Sachi

Sachi’s Textiles Sessions

Sachi is our Textlies Contractor, a kind-hearted person who is passionate about helping others. With a deep enthusiasm for Japanese crafts, Sachi combines the delicate art of origami with the precision of jewellery making and the elegance of traditional Japanese garments, offering a unique creative experience. She also shares her learning and love for other art forms such as Macrame, Crochet and Sewing. Sachi facilitates workshops at the centre every Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Sachi’s classes are designed for all skill levels, fostering a supportive environment where members can explore their creativity. Each month, participants have the opportunity to craft items such as origami-inspired earrings, bracelets and clothing. These sessions encourage members to bring materials from home, like beads and jewellery components, to up-cycle and share together as a TEMHCO family.

Textiles isn’t just fun—it’s therapeutic. The repetitive, meditative movements involved in origami, crochet, and macrame can help reduce stress and anxiety, allowing you to be fully present and calm among friends.

We encourage all members to give it a go and experience the therapeutic benefits of these crafts.
